Europe Direct Veszprém

The Europe Direct network, which includes 438 offices, is an EU information service that provides citizens with neutral and authentic information on EU issues in their native language, close to their place of residence. The free information covers all opportunities related to EU citizenship, including travel, study, social rights, etc. The network is coordinated by the European Commission. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Veszprém County has been operating Europe Direct Veszprém since 2013 with the support of the European Commission. The office's activities are diverse, during which it tries to take into account current communication priorities (e.g. environmental and climate protection, EU budget, NextGenerationEU program, healthcare support initiatives, digital transition, etc.) and interpret them in the most appropriate way for the target groups. The office's staff is available to interested parties in person, by phone and by email at the headquarters of the host organization. In addition, Europe Direct Veszprém is present on social media (Facebook), and strives to provide up-to-date and accurate information through newsletters, online and offline appearances.

Among the services, events are of particular importance, which also create an opportunity to learn about residents' feedback and opinions on EU measures. The office's staff regularly visit the county's educational institutions as part of EU lessons, organize informative events for businesses in the field of changes affecting foreign trade (e.g. EU trade policy, market access in the member states, etc.) - in cooperation with the chamber - and in the summer, they bring EU information to the most visited events as part of the national EU roadshow.

The office maintains a partnership with the University of Pannonia, local NGOs dealing with youth and other EU networks (Eurodesk, Eures, Enterprise Europe Network, European Consumer Centre, Creative Europe, etc.).
